Fungal Rash

Ringworm is a fungus and can appear on the feet, nails, scalp and other areas of the body. It is probably best known on the feet under the phrase athlete's foot. Ringworm can spread to different sections of your body so good hygiene is a must. Avoid scratching and touching the spots, as tempting as that may be. It starts as a small red mark similar to a pimple, but grows in little circles. It is not a parasite or a worm, though that is the common association.

Certain rashes are not contagious such as insect bites like red ants, allergic food reactions and dermatitis rashes like atopic eczema. On the other hand, a rash such as scabies can be passed by sharing a bed, holding hands, playing with contact and interacting general interactions at play times. Fungal rashes can be spread by sharing towels, physical contact and sharing socks. There are many types of fungal infections such as athlete's foot and ringworm. Sharing clothing when a student forgets, can unknowingly cause problems.

Diagnosing a skin rash can be quite complicated. It isn't easy to know if the reason your skin is inflamed and has bumps is caused by something in the environment, an internal infection, fungal rash or allergic response. Trying to narrow things down doesn't always result in answers immediately. The first things to look at are the accompanying factors as well as whether there is something contagious that you may have picked up.

Scaly, itchy skin patches usually represent one of the skin rash conditions referred to as eczema. Atopic dermatitis is perhaps the most common form of eczema. This is a hereditary skin problem that often begins in childhood as chapped cheeks and scaly patches on the scalp, arms, legs, and torso. In atopic dermatitis, the skin becomes extremely itchy and inflamed, causing redness, swelling, cracking, weeping, crusting, and scaling.

Poison ivy or sumac is a third rash that people get during the warm months. Whether one is gardening, in the woods or at summer camp, if one touches the uroshiol oil which is in these poisonous plants a rash reaction usually occurs. It is also very important to be sure one doesn't re-infect oneself due to residues of the oil that may be left on clothing, shoes and one's backpack from the original incident.

If you experience any type of common body rash such as prickly heat rash, groin rash, fungal rash, or HIV rash then you might consider using a natural supplement to cleanse the skin from the inside. I've been recommending a natural herbal/biochemic tissue salt combination product.

Certain rashes that appear on the skin are caused by fungal or bacteria infections. Names of rashes related to fungal infection would be a skin rash such as ringworm. Fungal infections don't occur as much as eczema infections. In addition, yeast infections are caused by fungi and cause skin rashes. The yeast will affect the folds of the skin and cause the area to become red which results in a skin rash. Impetigo is a common bacteria skin rash. Impetigo can be caused by strep or staph germs and common in children compared to adults. Bacitracin and Neosporin are not as effective with curing impetigo. Oral antibiotics or creams with the same strength as prescription medications are the best treatment for curing this skin condition.

People suffering from any form of rash should not take hot baths or showers. Lukewarm baths are ideal. Lukewarm baths cleanse and also prevent the skin drying out excessively. Ideally soap should be avoided, however if required, a mild soap could be used. Try and find a soap specifically designed for sensitive skin.
